Bill has more than 20 years of C-Suite experience across a number of companies with a focus on fintech, transaction processing, SaaS, and software development and services. He has been associated with Sopris Capital since 2004, currently serving as CEO of Sopris Capital Holdings and and CEO of three portfolio companies, Quovant, Firepoint, and OfficeWorks. Bill served as CEO at Healthcare Data Solutions, Truist, and Valutec Card Solutions, successfully leading turnarounds and sale;; he has held executive leadership positions at PeopleNet Corporation and First Data Corporation. Prior to these companies, Bill held various management positions at IBM for nine years. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and serves as a director on multiple boards.
Michael leads Quovant’s managed services team and also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Sopris Capital Holdings. Prior to joining Quovant, Michael practiced law in the Nashville office of Butler Snow LLP where his practice emphasized financial services and payment companies, including payment and spend management systems, data security, and privacy. He previously held various executive roles at Ceridian Corporation, including interim president of Ceridian’s subsidiary, Comdata Network. Michael is a licensed attorney in Tennessee, and is a member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance and the American, Tennessee, and Nashville Bar Associations. He holds a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and a doctor of jurisprudence degree, with honors, from the University of Tennessee.
